The concert as joyous feast, what with one infectious dance tune following one after another.
Salsa Celtica played songs from their latest album, The Tall Islands, as well as some older, more established songs. By fusing salsa and celtic rhythms (the clue is in the name), the band have produced something much more, something extra special. There are quirkysurprises, things that shouldn’t work but yet somehow do. Such as the presence of bag-pipes in a tempestuous cha-cha-cha.
They are a band of unexpected affinities and secret correspondences and are fantastic live. Their forthcoming tour dates can be found here.
